Health Advisor

"The doctor walked in…looked at the MRI and told me that he would do surgery next week and walked out. He never asked me if I wanted surgery or what options were."

Can someone just explain my disease and my medical options to me?
Over the years, I have often heard this statement from patients who are frustrated. Although almost everyone has one or more physicians, it was never explained why they developed their disease, how it can progress, what the options are and how they may be able to find a cure. I realized that many patients need someone who can explain the options and help formulate a path to optimal health.
Today, patients want to be an integral part of their health and are looking for the best options. Medicine is changing every day and most physicians are unable to keep up with new developments and options. a health advisor is someone who truly listens and can present options – and explain the risks and benefits. A health advisor also takes the time to research and interpret the most current data…something most physicians do not have the time or expertise to do.

"I saw 7 different, highly qualified physicians…and I still don’t know what is going on…just more medications."

Dr. Patrick Massey is well qualified as a health advisor. He is an Internal medicine physician, has a PhD in immunology and expertise in basic and clinical research. For decades, Dr. Massey has taken the time to teach his patients about their medical issues and the options available – both traditional and nontraditional.
Dr. Massey does not assume the role of the primary care physician…he is a consultant. Health advisor consultations are more in depth than traditional disease-specific office visits. These medical consultations are usually covered, either completely or in part, by insurance. Some aspects of the consultation may not be covered.
Dear Dr. Massey and staff:
You've been instrumental in getting our Beth back on to the playing field. We are so thankful to you and our God for restoring her. We praise God as we see her body moving and jumping as it did before the injury...
